Peter Annan

President
Sensors & Software Inc
Judge: Student Oral Competition

 

Peter has an engineering science background with a Ph.D. in geophysics. His scientific interests are primarily in the field of applied electromagnetics. His early scientific career involved applied research with several groups including the Geological Survey of Canada.

Since 1981, Peter has founded and progressively developed subsurface imaging companies which encompass product design, development, commercialization, and manufacture, as well as service delivery. His research is recognized worldwide with numerous awards for his pioneering work in ground penetrating radar; he has authored numerous scientific publications, patents and technical reports, and has served on many professional, scientific and business committees and boards. 

Peter is currently president of Sensors & Software Inc, Chair of the OCE Centre for Earth and Environmental Technologies and a member of the OCE Board of Directors.
