Panelist: A New Reality in Manufacturing
Marc Boismenu is in charge of Advanced Technical Work including new technology initiatives with 3rd party companies and Research & Development initiatives at General Motors of Canada. He has developed the portfolio of R&D programs and negotiated agreements over the past several years. He currently oversees development of a range of new Technologies across areas such as energy storage, electrification, fuel economy, light weighting and computer aided engineering.
Marc has held a number of positions at GM with increasing levels of responsibility across manufacturing, purchasing, strategic planning and engineering. He also spent a number of years working with the Canadian Supply base, developing new capability and supporting Quality improvement initiatives with Suppliers.
Marc chaired the industrial advisory committee for the Canadian Lightweight Material Research Initiative from 2004 to 2008. He also served on the Innovation council with the Conference Board of Canada from 2004 and recently served on the industry task force of the Automotive R&D Initiative, now known as Automotive Partnership Canada.
Marc holds a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University and a Masters in Strategic Management from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
