Bernadette Corpuz is a senior associate practising in the National Energy and Infrastructure Industry Group in Gowlings' Toronto office. Bernadette focuses her practice on power projects, electricity and gas trading, a wide range of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, structuring, financing and governance and commercial and regulatory matters. Ms. Corpuz' clients include local distribution companies, municipalities, large industrial users, generators and suppliers, financial institutions, and investment dealers. Ms. Corpuz is Chair of the Energy Group's subcommittee focusing on local distribution companies and a member of the Firm's working groups on Smart Grid and Climate Change.

In addition to her practice at Gowlings, Ms. Corpuz enjoyed a tenure as General Counsel & Secretary to the parent company of one of Ontario's largest electricity distributors. Ms. Corpuz has also advised the Coalition of Large Distributors on matters including conservation and demand management and smart metering.
