Mr. Mabson has more than 25 years of experience in the aerospace telecommunications industry in the areas of product design, business management, sales and marketing and new business development.

Since joining COM DEV in 1981, Mr Mabson has held a range of executive positions, including responsibility for satellite communications business units, sales and marketing, advanced product development, and new business development. He has also authored a number of technical papers related to satellite communications systems. Mr. Mabson  has extensive experience in International business dealings having been involved in more than 20 international programs within North America, Europe and Asia.

In 2009 COM DEV established the exactEarth subsidiary for the purpose of providing advanced satellite data services to the global market. Mr. Mabson was appointed as President in October of 2009.

The first major service being provided by exactEarth is a global ship tracking service which will significantly improve global maritime safety, security and environmental protection.
Mr. Mabson holds degrees in Engineering Physics and Business Management from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He enjoys golf, tennis and biking. He is married with two children.
