Larry Sollecito is Vice President – Smart Grid for GE Energy Services' Digital Energy business and an officer of the General Electric Company.  The Digital Energy business provides integrated smart grid solutions and protects and connects the world's critical equipment to ensure safe, reliable power for electric utilities and industrial customers.

Larry has been actively involved throughout his career in developing the technology that enables the smart grid. He has worked closely with major utilities and industrial customers to advance wide area monitoring, distribution automation, smart controls, and secure, high-speed communications in protection & control.

Since joining GE in 1974, Larry has held manufacturing and technology leadership positions throughout GE Power Systems, GE Industrial Electronics Systems and GE Fanuc Automation. In 2007, he was appointed President & CEO of GE Digital Energy. In 2009, Larry was named GE Vice President and an officer of the Company. In 2010, he was promoted to Vice President - Smart Grid.
