Let's Talk Science, leaders in science outreach, in partnership with Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE), offers Science with Impact®, a hands-on training workshop that helps you develop effective strategies to plan and conduct science, engineering and technology outreach with youth.
In this session, you will participate in constructive exercises, use practical tools for outreach communication, and learn instructional skills that will leave a lasting impression on the children and youth you reach.
Thousands of science outreach volunteers have already benefitted from this training.
Science with Impact® will:
- Help you plan a presentation outline to be used in your outreach activities
- Provide an educational learning theory, teaching strategies and learning styles
- Guide you through designing an active hands-on learning activity
- Show you how to make the science outreach experience relevant and fun!
Facilitator
Sue McKee, MSc, Let's Talk Science Partnership Program National Coordinator. Sue will share her extensive experience in bringing science, engineering and technology alive for children and youth.
