Dominic Talalla has been Managing Partner at Trellis Capital since 2005. In this position, he assumes interim leadership roles in portfolio companies requiring hands-on assistance. Under Dominic's leadership as CEO, Datec Coating Corporation, a Trellis portfolio company, has grown from a pre-commercial stage to a profitable and fast-growing material technology company. When he is not operating companies, Dominic pursues investment opportunities that meet Trellis’ unique investment criteria and is a Board member on several Trellis portfolio companies. Prior to joining Trellis, Dominic was Director, Venture Capital at Business Development Bank of Canada with a focus on Advanced Technology companies and was a Director on the Boards of several technology companies. He has taught Venture Capital at the Michael de Groote School of Business, McMaster University and is a member of the McMaster Engineering and Management Industrial Advisory Council, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, a Director of the Innovation Factory in Hamilton and a member of the Selection Committee for the Esche Awards at Ryerson University.
