Yves Lafortune is a business executive with over 25 years of experience in marketing strategy, product innovation and business leadership within the consumer-packaged goods industry. Yves enjoyed a 22 year career at Quaker Oats Company culminating as region director (Canada) for Quaker Beverages, North America. Most notably, Yves led the remarkable success of Gatorade® Thirst Quencher in Canada from opportunity assessment and launch to over a decade of exceptional growth, reaching over $60 M in sales. Since 2002, Yves has been a private consultant, business mentor and community volunteer. In 2003-2008, Yves’ primary focus was with a start-up firm, where he was instrumental in successfully introducing a consumer product in North America with an award-winning infomercial using sports celebrity Joe Theismann. Since 2013, Yves has held a manager role with Peterborough Region Angel Network, helping to expand that group from 18 members to over 30 and facilitating the group which has made over $6 M in angel investments. Yves holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and an Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto.
