John Mullally is the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Energy for Goldcorp Inc, one of Canada’s largest mining companies with operations in Northern Ontario, Northern Quebec, the Yukon, Mexico, Chile, Guatemala and Argentina. In his role, he assists Goldcorp’s operations to integrate government relations, issues management, stakeholder relations and corporate social responsibility into their overall corporate strategies. As VP of Energy Regulation, John is responsible for Goldcorp's climate change compliance strategy and mitigation plan to reduce long term exposure to carbon pricing and transition to cleaner technologies and a low carbon economy. Additionally, Goldcorp is striving to instill a culture of energy efficiency and that drives down energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and lead to operational improvements. John has also been instrumental in partnering with government to deploy clean technologies at Goldcorp’s all -electric mine, Borden Gold. John also worked for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, where he spent considerable time in West Africa and was a contributor to the African Economic Outlook (AEO) – a report featuring macroeconomic analysis of the African continent. Other international work included a project on behalf of the Canadian International Development Agency to develop local and indigenous capacity in northern remote Argentina. He was also a founding member of Me to We Style, an innovative Canadian social enterprise partnered with Free the Children, a Canadian NGO focused on building schools and improving communities in Kenya, Ghana and Peru. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Dalhousie University and an MBA at INSEAD in France. He is on the Board of Hope Air, a charity that ensures all Canadians receive equal and fair access to health care.
