Prior to working as an Industrial Technology Advisor at NRC IRAP, Estelle was a technology and financial consultant. She advised one of South Korea’s largest companies on raising a global venture fund and has also consulted small- to medium-sized technology companies on expanding their sales to overseas markets. Estelle also assisted in teaching courses at the University of Toronto, including the business of software (undergraduate level) and technology strategy (MBA level). Estelle was Vice President and Partner of TechnoCap, a $200-million early-stage, high-tech private venture capital fund. She assisted TechnoCap’s investee companies evolve from start-up to commercialization. Estelle was board observer and advisor to many of TechnoCap’s portfolio companies. Estelle’s six years with TechnoCap is complemented by 10 years in business and financial analysis plus 10 years in technology, marketing, sales and business management with global corporations such as Bell Canada, Alcan, Monenco/Agra, Air Products and Domtar.
